n The 24th Annual Coca-Cola Classic golf tournament has been scheduled for July 26-27 on the Butte Country Club course. A practice round, included in the entry, is set for July 25. The tourney format is a three-person scramble with handicap restrictions.

Brooklyn man, 29, charged with DWI (Staten Island Advance)
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Perhaps he mistook his Bentley for a city bus. A Brooklyn man was collared on drunken-driving charges Monday night after being caught blazing along the bus-only lane of the Staten Island Expressway in a borrowed 2007 Bentley, police said.

A Butte Tennis Association doubles lessons program takes place each Tuesday. Beginner and intermediate lessons will be at Father Sheehan Park from 6 to 7 p.m. and adult workout is from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday.
